Peraton has named John Coleman as president of the company’s Citizen Safety and Utilities business.
In his new role, Coleman oversees program performance, growth objectives and the alignment of Peraton’s portfolio of strategic technology investments with future client mission requirements.
Coleman served as interim president of Peraton’s CS&PS business for the past six months. Prior to Peraton’s 2021 expansion, he was president of the company’s former defense and homeland security business.
“I am truly honored to lead the CS&PS sector,” Coleman said. “This team consistently proves that it can fulfill our clients’ important missions, and I look forward to expanding our partnerships with new and existing clients.”
The CS&PS sector’s more than 3,500 employees support clients across the country and abroad, including contracts with the Departments of Homeland Security, State, and Labor; the US Senate; US Coast Guard Academy; and numerous state and local contracts, including San Diego County.
“John has been a trusted member of my management team for over four years,” said Peraton Chairman and CEO Stu Shea.
“I am confident that his significant experience in program management, business management and client relations, as well as his deep understanding of growth strategy and program execution, will help to positively differentiate the support of Peraton to our current and future customers,” said Shea.
Prior to joining Peraton in 2018, Coleman served as President of OMNIPLEX World Services International Investigations Unit. He also served as vice president of PAE National Security Solutions’ mission and information solutions business.
