Seoul, South Korea, August 17, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The National Information Technology Promotion Agency (NIPA), a Korean government agency responsible for supporting the ICT industry, is holding an online export conference for small and medium-sized enterprises ( SMEs) in order to find customers abroad.
The event takes place on August 18 and 19 at the World Online ICT Show or ICTWOW (http://www.ictwow.com), an integrated platform to support domestic ICT businesses entering overseas markets during difficult times after the COVID-19 pandemic.
ICTWOW is a virtual space where more than 450 promising Korean ICT companies showcase their technology and products 24/7.
They recently overhauled ICTWOW to refine business directories and improve search functionality. He also coped with the design by creating new 3D image elements on the main pages. AI chatbot is newly implemented for customer support.
The ICTWOW online event will accompany the on-site exhibition K-Metaverse Expo Busan, held at BEXCO, Busan.
Based on surveys of national SMEs that run Metaverse-related businesses, NIPA recruited over 20 potential customers from Canada, Japan, China, and some ASEAN countries. More than 30 domestic companies will gather in the K-Metaverse Expo Busan export fair to introduce their Metaverse-related services and technologies to these customers through video calls and ICTWOW business pages.
“We expect this hybrid virtual and on-site event to open new opportunities for Korean SMEs looking to enter the overseas market during difficult economic times due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Jinhong Park, Head of Global Sales Team, NIPA. “NIPA is dedicated to helping promising businesses succeed in the global marketplace. Not only do we connect potential customers to businesses, but we also provide follow-up care and process monitoring,” he added.
