Infosys Public Services Helps South Florida Water Management District Transform ERP Systems with SAP S/4HANA

– Built an agile and resilient administrative structure to improve agency services and efficiency

WEST PALM BEACH, Florida., November 18, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Infosys Public Services (IPS), a U.S. subsidiary of Infosys (NSE: INFY) (BSE: INFY) (NYSE: INFY), has successfully upgraded the South Florida Water Management District’s ERP system ( SFWMD) to SAP S/4HANA Platform. The migration will increase efficiency, improve analytics capabilities, and prepare the business for the necessary technology transformations to follow.

SFWMD manages water resources for 16 counties and 9 million people. As the oldest and largest water management district in the region, SFWMD is responsible for several critical programs – from flood control to water supply and quality. However, the agency’s legacy SAP systems, which support all business functions from accounting to payroll, were last updated more than a decade ago.

IPS leveraged the proven Infosys SAP S/4HANA migration framework and tools such as Infosys S/4Assist and HANA Code Migration and Optimization (CMO) to replace outdated SAP ECC systems with the SAP S/4HANA platform . SFWMD moved to the HANA platform without disrupting its existing business processes, while providing a more engaging and intuitive experience for its employees. IPS also migrated SFWMD’s existing Business Data Warehouse application to the HANA database, enabling the agency to generate real-time actionable insights into the data.

“The SAP S/4HANA platform and the partnership with Infosys has allowed us to deliver a better user experience,” said Ronda-AlbertIT Office Manager, South Florida Water Management District. “We have seen the value of this latest transformation. Business processes are significantly optimized, user experiences are improved with Fiori, and data management cycle times have been reduced by 70%. This program laid the foundation for SFWMD’s future business capabilities.

IPS completed the migration in less than a year. The transformation improved application response times by an average of 10%, and in some cases by more than 90%, through the use of in-memory processing provided by the SAP S/4HANA platform. The new system also provides a better employee experience with a 10% increase in productivity. With the new upgrade, employees complete transactions quickly and can focus on higher value tasks, resulting in a continuous increase in productivity.

Eric PaternosterPresident and CEO, IPS, said, “We thank the South Florida Water Management District for the opportunity to migrate their back office system to the new SAP S/4HANA platform. Our proven execution, SAP S /4HANA and our public sector expertise enabled us to implement this program ahead of schedule and without disruption, providing the South Florida Water Management District with a smart and resilient foundation to more effectively support its strategic priorities. . »
