Central Colombia businesses and public services close early

A wide range of offices, services and local businesses in the Mid-Columbia area are closing early Wednesday due to an impending winter storm that has already begun spreading downpours across the Pacific Northwest.

LOCAL OFFICES:

  • Franklin County Commissioner’s Office: Closed at noon on Wednesdays.
  • Franklin County Courthouse: Closed at noon on Wednesdays.
  • City of Richland Facilities: Opening delayed two hours on Thursdays.
  • City of Kennewick Facilities: Hours of operation extended to 10:00 a.m. Thursdays.
  • City of West Richland Facilities: Closes 4:10 a.m. Wednesdays, scheduled to open 10 a.m. Thursdays.
  • City of Pasco Facilities: Closing at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, scheduled to open at 10:00 a.m. Thursday.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT:

  • Ben Franklin Transit: Service suspended from 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

HEALTH:

  • Lourdes Health and Emergency Care Clinics: Closed at 3 p.m. on Wednesdays.

SCHOOL CLOSURES AND DELAYS:

  • Yakima Valley College: Classes are canceled on Thursdays.
  • Columbia Basin College: All classes before 9:10 a.m. Thursdays. are canceled

RESTAURANTS:

  • The Village Bistro (Kennewick): Closed at 3 p.m. on Wednesdays.
  • Foodies Brick and Mortar (Kennewick) and Foodies Too (Richland): Closed
  • Swampy’s Food Truck (Tri-Cities): Closed
  • Food Truck Impastables (Tri-Cities): Closed since December 30
  • The Emerald of Siam Thai Restaurant and Lounge (Richland): closes at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
