  • Solid spy tale

    This was my first Liz Carlyle novel and I found it to be an enjoyable page turner. The language was straightforward and the plot was clever but not overly complicated. Ms Carlyle is a worthy protagonist if lacking a bit of depth. Recommended.

    I am one of these men who can not/will not find time to read books and have had at least 6 on the go over a 2 year period but during a fluey session I started on this and could not put it down A great "story" with lots of twists and turns, I must read some of Stella's other books too although I am almost recovered now and the golf course beckons again ......

    It would usually be the last type of book that I would pick off the proverbial shelf, however, I really enjoyed it from start to finish. It gave me an insight into the security services and brought a very important human element into play. I will definitely read another book by this author.
