  • Waste of time and money.

    I've read a Bad reviews about some of the 'How to paint' series of iBooks and mostly they have either been spot on or just exaggerated, but with this Necron iBook they are definitely spot on! This book is a massive waste of money, it may have only been £1.99 but you can buy so many better things for £1.99!! I'm really annoyed that GW can release this and think people are going to lap it up and be thankful. The other 'How to paint'books are great and as a commission painter and modeller I have all of them as they are usually great reference, this one is now getting deleted.

    If I could give no stars I would!!! Do not buy this book for any amount of money. Ten pages long, only one colour guide, which is a horrible colour for necrons. Use YouTube guides instead!!!

    This is another great guide to painting your Necron army. Not my style or colour scheme but still a great way to see the army being painted. More guides please or a couple of different colour schemes in each one. Look foreword to the next.

    It's not the same price as Ultramarines? It's 1.99... So it's less price for less content, makes sense to me! Good product!
  • Too Little Content

    Compared to "How to paint Ultramarines" this book is surprisingly light on content - we get one vehicle and it's pilot. While the techniques are the same for the other models in the range often the step-by-step pictures help to inform highlights and detail areas, and it would have been nice to have had those. For the same price as the Ultramarines guide, this one just falls short of the bar set by that product.
  • Awful value

    This book is awful, terrible value. £3.99 for 10 pages that have a few animations but all of this was in White Dwarf a few months back. I gave a GW iTunes option a chance, I either made a bad choice and got a bad book, or they are all like this. I won't be buying any more.
