    An engrossing tale of teenage love and confusion which I really enjoyed. I know that because I looked forward to picking the book up every chance I got to read a few pages and was quite sad when I had finished. Many Adrian Mole type touches of farce but none the worse for it, well worth the read.

    I don't read a lot, and I often lose interest very fast in books. I've started many books and given up days later never to read them again! But this book gripped some much I could wait to read it. I was sad to finish it, I know have a new found joy for reading and I've just finished one day. Which is also great. Thank you.

    I was thrilled to see this as a freebie after I'd seen it mentioned several months ago as a "must read" I really enjoyed it. Brought back memories of university life!!! Sad and "laugh out loud" funny in places.

    This was the first fiction book I had read for some time, and for me it was devoured in record time. It took me back to the weirdness, fun, fears and adventure of student days although in my case of the 70s. The cleverness of the descriptions had me laughing out loud many times. Thoroughly recommended as a pick-me-up if you are feeling a bit jaded.

    I found this a thoroughly entertaining read - few books actually make me laugh but this did. Maybe it's because I was a student in the 70's and it just rang so true - the context brought back so many happy, and funny, memories of what life was like. The film does not do this book justice. It's well written, and totally believable for a light read...I bought the paperback, can't believe its free here!
