    Brilliant book. Couldn’t put it down. Great characters. This book moves from one story to another, all round people working and living around a town, when the prior is trying to build a great cathedral. Great feeling of how people lived in this period.

    I couldn't recommend this book higher.. It's depth and enormous scale makes for such a captivating story which is something I never thought I would say about the concept of building a cathedral! This book truly opened my eyes to a new genre of literature and I cannot wait to read the sequel!
