    Hilariously honest, reflective and brutal at ‘parts’. I have worked in the NHS for a number of years now and it’s a must read for all NHS employees and users of the NHS. Reminds us that the doctors / nurses in the NHS are human too. Love the Open letter to Mr Hunt at the end also. Just starting to read the book again for a second time. Loved it!!!

    Personally I think this should be on the reading list for anyone who wants to work in the NHS not just Drs! As an ex nurse I can sympathise with some of the stories while also being shocked by them as even on the front line I would say most nurses aren’t aware of quite what junior Drs are put through. As for the book I laughed at every page until the end but I won’t spoil it! Loved the footnotes too. Would love to read more from Adam Kay about his experiences.
